They didn't deserve an asbo. They deserved a medal. I thought we were all encouraged to take exercise.

A bit of social decorum would not go amiss. I like a bit of exercise as much as the next man, yet I don’t scream like I am giving birth as I run down the street!

I know that when I see groups of football supporters walking down a street, they appear in need of an asbo.

Then I take out a group of runners, and we find it rather more comfortable to run in the road (we have a lot of country lanes).

Isn't the issue rather down to the fact that, despite having been told for years how much her behaviour is distressing and inconveniencing her neighbours, she has basically given them the two-fingered salute? We have to conclude that the court has looked at this matter properly, rather than (as people seem to believe) merely rubber-stamped complaints from a few stroppy people.

She should find the TV controller and turn the volume down or watch something else that her neighbours dont object too so much. They should be thankful its not Harman and her husband next door, then they would have something serious to complain about knowing he rents them (porn DVDs and Videos) using their money on his wives MPs expences account.

I lived next door to a similar situation but it was very funny.

Originally, the neighbour was a 6 5" professor, who was chronically introvert. You would say hello to him and his voice was so quiet that I cannot say that I have ever heard his voice. Anyway, a few years passed and he got this new g/f. And my God could you hear her every Saturday night. I would have so loved to be a fly on the wall. If, this man did not have the confidence for anyone to even hear his voice how was he coping with everyone hearing that?

True story, one of my neighbor went and complained to the neighbor above about the noise at 2 am the next day the neighbor above who had received the complained went down trying to tell the neighbor that they should not have disturbed them and told him" do you know i was with my wife last night" my neighbor immediately cut him off and told him no mate you were with your boyfriend, possibly you took too many blue pills last night, and shut the door.

i think the solution to this noisy love making is for the couple to wear space suit (the couple wear one joint suit and not two separate) and then vacuum the room as noise does not travel in vacuum,

She's been at it again...

Mrs Cartwright avoided jail in January when a judge at Newcastle Crown Court handed her a suspended prison sentence after she was caught breaching a four-year Asbo which bans her from having loud sex sessions.

But two months after her court case Caroline, of Hall Road, Washington, is said to be at it again and has been arrested by police and hauled before magistrates.

The 49-year-old has now been thrown back into a bail hostel to keep her and husband Steve apart while the courts decide what to do next.

Caroline had spent eight months in the hostel in Sunderland and was allowed back home after her Crown Court appearance at the beginning of the year.

She has moved her bed into the dining room downstairs so the pair could continue their romps in an attempt not to disturb the neighbours.

But their lovemaking has got them into hot water again and police received a complaint that her morning wails and whines were said to be heard at 10.15am

“This is just ridiculous. It was just for 10 minutes at around 10.15am on a Sunday morning," said Mrs Cartwright . "You couldn’t hear that much because the bed is downstairs in the dining room and not in the bedroom.

“The police came on Monday night to arrest me and lock me up. I spent the night in the cells and appeared at Houghton-le Spring Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

“They said they believed I had breached the Asbo again because two neighbours said they heard us. It was only 10 minutes, not like the two hour sessions we used to have.

“I’m now back in the hostel where I was before. I call it my holiday home. I’m not allowed back at my house until this is sorted out.”

For almost four years neighbours have been angry at the goings on at the Cartwright household.

Their loud marathon sex sessions were driving neighbours mad with their moans, groans and bed-banging.

The accusations caused magistrates last year to lock Caroline behind bars after she broke the four-year ban that prevented her from making excessive noise anywhere in England and Wales.

But after 10 days she was then sent to the bail hostel while she waited for her trial, and was told she couldn’t return home to Steve, 48.

In January she pleaded guilty to three breaches of the Asbo and was jailed for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, with 12 months supervision.

But Caroline is now back in the same hostel as before and on bail until her committal hearing on May 13.

She added: “This is causing stress on our marriage. We aren’t doing it as much as we used to because it’s not exactly relaxing knowing that everyone is listening for you to make a noise. We aren’t even sleeping together every night because I have been in a hostel for so long that I’ve got used to sleeping alone.”

Perhaps they should just invest in some sound proofing!

They need a cottage on the moors of Yorkshire.

Or Ireland. They can blame it on the banshees.

I would agree. Doesn't matter if she really enjoys shagging, playing her drums, singing opera or whatever - if a court has heard the evidence from all parties and ruled that it's excessive then that's the end of it. Appeal or comply.
