Hi

We are going through the process of taking my ex off the mortgage/house - he is in full agreement with this. The paperwork from the mortgage company says they just need written confirmation from him that he is in agreement with the transfer, but we don't know this letter should be written - are there specific things that need to be mentioned?

Thank you for your help :)

At this stage he is only confirming that he will go along with it. keep it simple. He should confirm his name and interest in the property and say that he agrees subject to contract to transfer the property into your name, seeking his release from the mortgage debt.

A lawyer will be instructed to undertake the transfer, and he will do the detail.
